Dr. R Gobinath

Dr. R Gobinath is a seasoned medical practitioner from Madurai with over two decades of professional practice in the field of General Medicine and Diabetology.

Dr. Gobinath completed both his graduate MBBS degree and post graduate MD (General Medicine) degree from Madurai Kamaraj University. In order to establish himself as a Diabetologist, he further pursued Diploma in Diabetology from New Castle University, Australia which is a core and intensive course in diabetes.

He set up Dr. Gobinath Diabetes Specialty Centre, a specialized centre for diabetes with state-of-the-art medical facilities offering comprehensive diabetes services.

Besides practice, Dr. Gobinath’s passion for teaching has seen him adopt the role of a medical educator engaged in training students who have undertaken the Diploma and Master program in Diabetology at Annamalai University, Tamilnadu. With a pursuit for knowledge, Dr. Gobinath regular attends medical conferences to keep abreast of the latest medical developments and also serves as a lecturer in many CME programs.

Apart from being a Life member of many renowned medical societies he also is a diabetes consultant to several local hospitals in Madurai. Every month, Dr. Gobinath conducts CME programs for doctors and patients at his centre so that the knowledge and skills of the health care professionals can be updated and diabetes awareness can be created among patients.
